Rowling books until after the fourth one was released about two years after his brother became hooked. “What drew me in was the impact the books were having” he said… “The band is just a little more fun” he said. This fall Joe starts his freshman year at Clark University in Worcester but that won’t stop the Potters. Upcoming Boston shows include a music festival in ctober and the band’s second-annual Yule Ball a nod to a pivotal event in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. “Along with legions of fans the DeGeorges look forward to the seventh and final Harry Potter book due to hit stores next year. n what will surely be one of the biggest nights in publishing history Harry and the Potters know what they’ll be doing and it won’t be queuing up for copies. “We’ll be playing definitely” Paul said. “That will be our biggest show ever.

The singer-songwriter Cedric Bixler-Zavala suggested: ”Self-indulgent. ” Huh? ”A punk-rock Grateful Dead. His influences? ”Joan Crawford. I’m fascinated by the Dr… It’s an alien world to me. This album feels like they let their freak flag fly and got over the rigid politically correct rules about music. It’s great to see music that resembles something from Norway and embraces tongue-in-cheek cheesiness. Bibio I really enjoyed ”Hand Cranked” (Mush). It’s from a new hip-hop label that reminds me of Stones Throw Records. It’s definitely not your average hip-hop. It pushes boundaries.

And here’s the really cool part (or depending on your appetite for guilty pleasures the deal breaker): The Web site automatically reads your hard drive or iPod then posts your music library — and lists what you’re listening to most — for other moggers to see. You’re into obscure post-punk outfit This Heat? Sniff out the other 10 moggers who like them too. You listened to Paula Abdul’s "pposites Attract" 73 times in a row last Thursday? And while Paula doesn’t seem to have one yet there is a section of "Artist MGs" where musicians can share their thoughts. Some pages are better maintained than others — punk rocker Mike Watt has plenty to mog about while a mog belonging to local band Dead Meadow looks pretty scant. Maybe those guys are closet Abdul fans too. — Chris Richards© 2006 The Washington Post Company.
