Lars was talking with Davey Havok (who for the first five minutes I thought was a hooker) and someone from One Man Army while Brett sat on a bus bumper quietly. Tagging the “hooker” as Havok I decided to keep it cool and sit with Brett. I told him about how punk music when I was a little younger (late 90′s) had brought me out of depression and how Rancid in particular convinced me to join a band myself which brought me off the streets in which I had previously sought refuge. He explained to me how Rancid had done the same thing for him and that he would stay so long as that message of personal salvation and strength continued. Seeing him part is very suspicious but most of all it is incredibly saddening. A million kids who have found a better way owe him thanks.
