Clash doc shows band at height punkdom
Daily Nebraskan – Apr 22, 2008
Bob Dylan Bob Marley and Bruce Springsteen are all outspoken Clash fans. “Revolution Rock” reminds viewers that the Clash is the immortal god of punk. It shows a band at its peak performing fearsome punk music in front of crowds as large as 200000 people. It almost challenges anyone to name a punk band that could rival the Clash’s greatness. “Revolution Rock” is a testament to punk at its best from the band that made the genre what it is. caseywelsch@dailynebraskan. com Page 1 of 1 Article Tools Share:.

and gave an energizing performance. Never having been a huge fan of Paramore I was quickly impressed. Their pop-punk music was upbeat the band was high-energy and Hayley Williams’ vocals could compete with Kurt Cobain’s. It was impressive how her tiny five-foot frame could hold such huge lungs but that couldn’t compare to the gymnastics of her supporting compadres. Her attempts to pump the crowd up seemed forced.

" There’s plenty of soul influence on Mr. Love & Justice from the gospel vibe of "I Keep Faith" to the Memphis groove of "The Johnny Carcinogenic Show. " The latter was inspired partly by Mr.
