No wave was particular to a period in time and space that cannot be replicated. According to Seeger no wave music was ?essentially nothing? just weird punk music. MKNW attempts to bring back this openness to the ?outsider? giving Montreal?s abundance of experimental bands a little encouraging push. New wave no wave it?s all just rock ?n? roll really. While waiting for the show to begin Seeger took upon himself the heavy burden of DJing which was probably the best part of the night. He?s a smaller slightly older fellow and quite a character.

When the band stepped on the stage and performed “Thnks Fr Th Mmrs” fans howled a deafening scream and sang along with the quartet. FB’s second visit to the Philippines was warmly welcomed by thousands of mostly Filipino teenagers who packed the Big Dome. It was a clear indication that FB’s market here in the country belongs to the younger age group primarily because of the band’s contemporary appeal. As the fans continued to scream from the top of their lungs and didn’t care to take their seats at all the band continued with its other hits like “Thriller” and “A Little Less Sixteen Candle A Little More Touch Me.

The three flavors that I was really reared on were my dad’s music of the ’60s all the British invaders the country music that was on the radio from the time I was like 8 until about 13 which was when Nirvana came out and that was the third genre that really affected me. Then I got really into punk rock. It wasn’t until years later that I discovered the Velvet Underground or Hank or Johnny Cash or George Jones. Still as someone who has been embraced more by the alt-rock community you must have been a little surprised when they started playing “Fight” on CMT.
