Fronted by 20-year old vocalist Tiffany Francum Claiborne naturally attracts comparisons to bands like Paramore. And while yes both bands have extremely dynamic female lead singers both with some variation of red hair and both bands produce super catchy music – there are a lot of differences. Claiborne’s music isn’t confined to the pop-punk genre and they very often create a seamless blend of the post punk attitude hardcore guitar and growls and the aforementioned pop-punk light-heartedness that allows the crowd to have just as good a time watching Claiborne as the band seems to have performing for them. The band’s set started at about 8:15pm and just like in the case of No Inside the Flowrider competition was still going strong. That didn’t stop Claiborne from rocking like everyone in the store was there to see them; and by the conclusion of the second song they had me convinced that everyone in the store was indeed just there to see them. In-between songs Tiffany asked the crowd how they were doing thanked everyone for showing support and kindly demanded that everyone move their asses and dance!Danny Tiffany Scott Danzel and Brian all interact flawlessly. Exchanging smiles and nudges playing back to back and sharing mics it is easy for even the first time watcher to realize all 5 of them love what they are doing and are happy to be experiencing it all together.

Kelly Darlin Nikki Darlin and Jessie Darlin who make up Those Darlins do their own thing their own way. The result is a band that spills out some great tunes combining pop with rock punk and country. Hailing from Murfreesboro TN the musically inclined trio of women have already made their way around the US playing shows small and large. With their constant touring with acts such as Dan Auerbach The Features and even playing a stage at this year’s Bonnaroo they finally have released their debut album for all to hear. Having already been a huge fan I was excited for their music to spread to a larger audience. I think it will not be too difficult for that to happen thanks to this release.
