“We’re at a crossroads point right now and we wanted to show different sides of us” Armbruster said. “I think the five we chose were perfect for what we wanted. The EP is a must-buy for any fans of pop-punk music. It features songs “Backwards” and “Electric Choir” which have been streaming live from their site myspace. Both songs show the strong pop-punk sound that The Hoodies possess much like popular bands like The Starting Line or Jimmy Eat World. The song “Time and Place” combines soft-toned verses with a chorus filled with rough riffs and catchy vocals.

When Al Boyle of Vancouver’s three-piece punk outfit Hard Feelings was asked in a recent interview with BeatRoute he thought the question was pretty loaded. "I think that I was saying something about that it’s called a youth movement but really it’s kind of not because there are people that are in bands that are much older than me that have been doing it for way longer and are still doing it because obviously they have a blast doing it and they’re doing it" Boyle says. "But not even punk music—if you’re into rap music or hardcore or whatever you’re going to be into it because you’re into it. I think that question was kind of unfair because I’m like What? What do you think? Nomeansno haven’t stopped doing it. [That band is rumoured to be heading into the studio this fall. ]"New bands and old bands still blow my mind" he adds.
